About me
I’d like to keep this helpful, friendly but relatively brief. Here are the facts about me, Jane Weiss ‘The Model’.
My preferred name is Jane Weiss - Jane the English of Siân (Welsh) and Weiss the German for White. I am an experienced and published social issues, portrait and fine art model based in the City of Nottingham.
I am both willing and legally entitled to work/travel anywhere within the EU (which includes all of England at short notice and most of Europe given 2 weeks notice).
I speak fluent English and conversational German, which I am trying to improve. My partner is fluent in French and if requested can attend shoots to both translate and help out in any other way. Although not a model my partner will pose with me if required. I am happy to pose with other models of any gender, race or sexuality up to art nude.
Art nude is a model working up to full frontal nudity for images that are intended to be viewed as art. If the theme for your art is sexual/erotic/provocative please explain before the shoot, what exactly is required by me (the model) to bring that element to it.
The level of nudity/non nudity I will work to is entirely decided by me. My levels are completely non negotiable and I will never work to open leg/continental. I do not generally undertake any glamour work. I will work to glamorous clothed (in the style of Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s) but not clothed glamour in the style of the latest blonde at FHM.
I am equally happy working with photographic artists as i am working for traditional medium artists. If you need a life model for a painting, sketch, art class/group feel free to get in touch. Generally rates for those painting/drawing/sculpting are lower then those photographing.
I have experience in sitting for clothed portraits and being photographed for casual clothed images sometimes called fashion but also known as commercial or lifestyle. I am not a fashion model and at 5`0` I have no delusions about becoming one.
I am capable of some acting if required and have worked for many years in social issues photography giving consent to my images being used in such contexts as drug abuse, self harm and domestic violence awareness. I am not an addict or self harmer nor have I suffered from domestic violence. If these images offend you please do not view them.
If travelling outside of Nottingham all travel expenses must be covered by you. Aside from this prerequisite, my rates are negotiable.
